Send-Off Service for Rev. Kojo Amo

The send-off service for the former General Secretary of the Ghana Baptist Convention, Rev. Kojo Amo came off at the First Baptist Church, Tema on Saturday 11th December 2010.
The service was in honour of the ten years service Rev. Amo has rendered to the Ghana Baptist Convention as the General Secretary.
Preaching the sermon on the topic, The God of Remembrance, Rev. Dr. Stephen K. Asante, the President of the Ghana Baptist Convention reiterated the fact that God does not forget the services we render to Him. Nevertheless, the servant of God who serves can pray to the Lord to remember the things he has done for Him; referring to Nehemiah 13:14; 22; 29-30.
The Ghana Baptist Convention presented a citation to Rev. Amo which read:
- You were a first generation Ghanaian Baptist and have served in the Ghana Baptist Convention as a Home Missionary, Pastored many churches, and taught numerous Pastors.
- You have been instrumental in establishing foreign partnerships for the Ghana Baptist Convention.
- You have served as the General Secretary for a decade – 2000-2010, and as Chairman of All Africa Baptist Fellowship, Western Africa Region from 2006 to date.
For these selfless, meritorious, and dedicated services, the Ghana Baptist Convention confers this citation on you on this 11th day of December 2010, at First Baptist Church, Tema.
At the service were Rev. David Narteh Ocansey, the Acting General Secretary, Rev. Samuel Otu-Pimpong, the President of the Ministers’ Conference of the Ghana Baptist Convention and Baptists from all over Ghana; as well as representatives from other denominations and a good number of people from Winneba, Rev. Amo’s hometown.
