Offices | Ministries | Departments | AgenciesThe office of the Vice President is responsible for the development of evangelism and ministry programmes that align with the mission, vision and goals of the Convention to develop the spiritual growth of congregants to bring transformation within the community and the world.
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION & AUXILIARIES
The Department is responsible for the development of Christian education and faith development programmes to promote church development, discipleship training. The Department leads in the design and establishment of effective and comprehensive Christian educational curriculum and programmes.
SECTOR HEADS
The Sectors Heads have responsibility for monitoring the programmes, activities and evaluation of performance of the Associations and Association Heads to ensure active presence of the church in the communities, win souls and bring all categories of people to Christ and the Convention. Their scope of work includes monitoring to ensure compliance to all policies and procedures of the Convention within the Sectors.
MINISTERS’ CONFERENCE
It is the umbrella body for all Ministers of the gospel of Foreign missionaries with ministerial experience recognized by the Ghana Baptist Convention. The Conference has under it jurisdiction, the Association of Baptist Deacons (work in progress), Ministers’ Wives Fellowship and various Local Ministers’ Fellowships.
Administration
The office of the Director-General (Finance & Administration) is a new portfolio which replaces the Vice President (Administration) position, created under the reviewed 2013 Constitution of the Ghana Baptist Convention. This office continues to be responsible for the development of finance and administration strategies, policies, procedures, systems and controls and monitor their implementation to ensure the achievement of the mission, vision and goals of the Convention. He/she is responsible for organizing the Convention’s Annual Sessions.
SOCIO-ECONOMIC MDAs
Socio Economic is made up of functional departments, units and Institutions, with the responsibility for the identification, development, execution and monitoring of social intervention and economic programmes/projects of the Convention to meet the needs of communities/individuals and contribute to the economic development needs of the Country as well as share God’s love through the gospel.
ESTATE AND LEGAL
The Estates Unit acquires, manages and maintains all Ghana Baptist Convention assets through its determined lifespan and makes assets profitable. The Legal Unit of the Department liaises with solicitors of the Convention to ensure that all litigations concerning properties are duly entered and documented.
